Our Services
Exposure Response Prevention
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is the gold standard treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The goal of ERP is to methodically and gradually expose the child to their scary (obsessive) thoughts, while helping the child disengage the need to do their compulsive behavior. Overtime, the originally fearful situations will become normal and manageable for the child (yay!). They will be able to cope with the originally fearful thought without engaging in a compulsion.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy consists of a unique treatment plan for each child using appropriate evidence-based treatment and a strengths-based approach. Individual therapy will give your child the tools to overcome the challenges they are experiencing and help them with longterm mental strength.
Individual therapy is beneficial for children and teens who are currently experiencing a difficult life circumstance, depression, and/or anxiety. In individual therapy, clients are given the ability to be heard, space to grow, and develop tools to use in their everyday life. Parents are informed and updated about the progress and goals of their child in therapy.
Parent Coaching
Parent coaching is useful for any caregiver who needs support to navigate specific challenges and/or needs that are arising in their child’s life. The sessions are direct to help identify and create goals for the parents by using psycho-education, offering parenting strategies, a fostering positive communication skills. Additionally, parent coaching sessions help with effective parenting, implementation of any necessary behavioral routines at home, and use of appropriate limit-setting and reward-giving. These sessions are parental focused and geared at giving parents the tools they need.
Parent Consultation
Parent Consultation is a unique service for parents who feel that their child/teen is struggling academically, socially, and/or mentally and do not know the best steps to take forward. There are many different types of mental health practitioners and other providers for children, how do you know you are choosing the right team or treatment? Maybe your child needs an IEP or a 504 plan at school, perhaps they need to see an education therapist or an occupational therapist. This service allows parents the space to discuss, explore, and evaluate the current challenges their child is experiencing. Then parents will be provided with appropriate referrals and a course of action.
